Electric Hearses at Barton Glebe!

Barton Glebe woodland burial ground is dear to my heart because it is the natural burial ground where I did my qualitative, social research interviewing people about their views and experiences of natural burial. So I was chuffed when I learnt today that the Arbory Trust, who manage Barton Glebe woodland burial ground, held an eco-funerals awareness day in November that included electric hearses and willow coffins. The willow coffins are produced as part of a social enterprise project for the homeless based in Cambridge called WinterWillow. To see the local news coverage click here.
