This report examines the bereavement benefit reforms and their interaction with other support available to bereaved families, including Social Fund Funeral Payments.
It draws upon qualitative research I did a few years ago with former colleagues at the University of Bath – Dr Kate Woodthrope and Dr Christine valentine .
