Funeral deposits criticised by Oxford MP
I admire this Oxford MP for standing up and raising an issue my colleagues and I have been researching at CDAS since last autumn. It’s a complex, distressing issue that no one wants to hear about – hardly a ‘vote winner’ or popular in party politics – but, it’s necessary we act NOW in finding solutions for how everyone in Britain can afford access to a funeral. Relying on Public Health Funerals is NOT the answer!
